I wrote here that it looked like the Bears could win the division. In another post I commented how after their lone win this year that many aspects were coming together. The O-Line was the biggest, Thomas Jones and of course the D. But also in that game was Orton and Ron Turner. That has fallen off. The Bears now rank tied for last in the NFC in points scored.
The D is still there. Thomas Jones is still doing well. But the Bears are now even in Takeaways/Giveaways, a stat they were doing very well in just a few weeks back. Thomas Jones is 6th in the league in rushing. The other 5 are Alexander, Tomlinson, W.Parker, Cadillac & Edgerrin James. Those 5 teams are .500 or better. 3 of those 5 are in 1st place.
So it's more than run the football and play good defense. The Bears have to find a way to get into the end zone.
